Mission

The mission of Jefferson Pediatrics is to provide accurate, empathetic, cost-effective healthcare to the children we serve.

Practice Values

We value the individual strengths of each patient entrusted to our care, and attempt to provide that child with the best, most up-to-date care available. We see ourselves as a medical home, a place where each family can come to feel comfortable in sharing and protecting the lives of their children.

History

Jefferson Pediatrics has a long history of serving children and their families in Jefferson County. Michael Glines, MD, began the practice in 1977 at Meramec Heights Shopping Center as a solo practitioner. In 2002, the practice moved to its present location at 1765 Old HiWay 21 after renovating an existing structure to allow for two doctors to practice simultaneously. Dr. Marsha Vedova arrived in December of that year. In 2009, Dr. Betty Cross joined the practice, filling out our staff, and allowing for two doctors in the office every day. Dr. Cross retired 2021. In August 2018, Dr. Glines retired, opening up room for Dr. Peter Bess to join as the newest physician.

What Sets Us Apart

Our personal commitment to serve the health and emotional needs of our patients sets us apart. We answer our own calls after hours and on weekends, rather than having outside nurses or agencies address our patients’ needs and issues. Our patients’ families appreciate our dependability and reliability. Two of our doctors are in the office every weekday and Saturday to provide that continuous care for our practice.
